It seems that every few months we report about the Apple App Store breaking new records. First it was 50 million downloads, and then it was 100 million downloads. Now it’s been confirmed that the Apple App Store has had a record 500 million downloads since its debut only six months ago. The iTunes store took two years to reach 500 million downloads, the App Store has a good number of free Apps however. But this is still quite an impressive feat! The App Store has about 15,000 apps with more and more being added daily. The App Store is running out of new ideas, we see the same old to-do lists, days-to and tip calculating iPhone apps. We’re waiting for more break through apps to make the App Store worth while to visit again. Congrats Apple, and all the app developers who have gotten rich.
