biometricsecurity Apple developing biometric security for new iPhone

We hear sad stories of iPhones getting stolen all the time and sometimes the iPhone owner gets iPhone back from the theives but usually their iPhones are long gone. It seems that Apple has been working on a new biometric reader inside future iPhones that let owners protect their iPhones. The iPhone will need a fingerprint (or perhaps facial recognition) to access the phone and all of its functions. A patent filed by Apple recently shows what Apple has been up to, it appears they want to create a more secure way of stopping unauthorized access to future iPhones. No other info is known about this new potential security measure from Apple such as the hardware and software involved or how much space it may consume. It is hinted that the device would read a fingerprint (or finger vein pattern) when a user simply touches the touchscreen. This tech is definitely available now with other products such as gun safes and timecards so it’s only a matter of time before it makes its way into mobile devices.
