It’s the New Year and Apple has not stopped with it’s patent happy ways. It has recently been revealed that Apple has patented a Nintendo Wii like remote.
“The user may use the wand to control a plurality of operations and applications that may be available from the media system, including for example zoom operations, a keyboard application, an image application, an illustration application, and a media application,” according to Apple.
According to site Patently Apple, the new remote would include a magnetic compass floating in liquid, and provide the pointer with “incredible precision movement and fluidity,”.You can also expect the typical remote control functions. In theory, the greater precision could allow Apple TV to include an illustration feature or photo editing, like iPhoto, according to the site (see image above), by drawing in the air with your wand.
