BURLINGAME, California – It is a known fact that Apple has been hard at work on there own low power consumption Mobile Processor. Chip designers were hired early last year to implement the processor in up and coming iPhones. The ad was looking for engineers familiar with the NEON extended instruction set used by next-generation ARM processors. Arm technology is a new multi-core design that could more than quadruple speeds theoretically on your mobile device.

Now many would assume that the new processor chips would be set for the release of the 3rd generation iPhone. However, Analyst over at WallSteet don’t think so. With the rumored debut of the new 3rd gen iPhone as early as Monday June 8th at the WorldWide Developer Convention (WWDC).

Analyst  instead believe that Apple will simply upgrade to a faster app processing chip from Samsung, (current chip provider) for the new release.
The new chip from Samsung is said to be a much more safe chip to put up against the new “Palm Pre’s Texas Instrument’s OMAP3430 mobile processor” which will be released Saturday June 6th.

Problem for Apple using ARM now is turning that design into a custom design typically takes hundreds of millions of dollars and two years worth of work, says Forward Concepts President Will Strauss. Other analysts figure it could take another five to nine months for any product developed by Apple’s team to be ready.

Now apple has not even had the license from UK based ARM Processors to assemble a custom design. Other analyst are also speculating this could be used on a new smartbook or even Netbook for Apple. But we know how Mr. Jobs feels about Netbooks.
