Apple’s market share declines

Apple’s market share has declined in the first quarter of 2009 in comparison to their performance back in 2008 at the same time. The overall computer market has declined by about 0.3% so far. Analysts cite Microsoft’s stronger than expected performance due in large part to sales of Netbooks which Apple currently does not intend to get into. Apple currently sits at number four on the rung of market share. HP also managed to surpass dell to take the number one spot. Right before Apple is Acer which has built a reputation for selling excellent quality Netbooks.
