app 300x300 Average iPhone user 94 times more likely to download app

Jeff Holden of Pelago took some time to crunch the numbers behind Apple’s amazing money machine; the iPhone. What he found was that Apple basically took all the right steps with the iPhone setting themselves up for a dramatic reversal of fortunes after the disastrous war against Microsoft in the early nineties. The iPhone base is extremely loyal and developers are increasingly more encouraged to develop for the iPhone due to users’ tendencies to download apps. In fact, the average iPhone user is 94 times more likely to download an app than other mobile phone users. What this means is that if you are a developer, it would definitely be more likely to cash in by submitting to the app store.
