eye fi 290x300 Eye Fi adds WiFi and Geotagging in form of SD Card

Apple has spent a lot of time and effort explaining the benefits of geotagging their photos in apps such as iPhoto. However, there are times when geotagging photos require GPS and it would be impractical to build a GPS and Wi-fi access into a digital camera. This is where the Eye-fi comes in handy. The eye-fi is an SD card which has built in GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities which can automatically geo-tag your photos as well as upload them to a variety of social networking sites such as Facebook and Flickr. The base price of the Eye-Fi card is 79.99 for the Wi-Fi enabled but non GPS version. On the other end is the Explorer model which ahs both Wi-Fi and GPS for 129.99.
