Ultrasn0w 3.0 iPhone 3G unlock

It’s finally here, the Dev Team has released the Ultrasn0w full unlock for the iPhone 3G and 2G using the firmware 3.0. NOTE: This will NOT work with the iPhone 3G S, only with the original iPhone and iPhone 3G. Stay tuned for an unlock for the iPhone 3GS, in the meantime the Ultrasn0w unlock instructions are below.

1. Ensure you have upgraded to iPhone OS 3.0
2. Jailbreak your iPhone 3G using redsn0w or PwnageTool (this will also install Cydia/Icy)
3. Run Cydia or Icy
4. Please add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia or icy
5. Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in cydia or icy and install ultrasn0w
6. Reboot your iPhone 3G
7. T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w
8. Enjoy

    ultrasn0w did not work for me here in China. The carrier shows up but then it says “different sim detected, connect to itunes” I’d be careful if you are in another country like me. Anyone know a fix for this?

    i unlocked my iphone using ultrasn0w and followed he steps accurately..still my ihone says, ni simcard installed when using my tmobile sim.

    the tmobile sim still works on my sidekick. i used my coworkers tmobile sim on the iphone and it says no simcard also.

    i successully installed redsn0w and had cydia on my iphone. Dunno what else to do or what am i doing wrong..
    Pls Help!

    i live in GERMANY BERLIN and i have done all steps 3 times and i’m sure that i have done everything OK … but i’m on E-PLUS and it did not work for me .. PS : i bought my iPhone from EGYPT (VODAFONE) please i really need help .. :(
