New iMac doesn’t work with Apple’s Mini Display Port to DVI adapter

Apple News

If you plan on using Apple’s Mini Display Port to DVI adapter to connect a video game console (or other device) to the new 27-inch iMac then don’t, because it won’t work, yet at least. The new 27-inch iMac was touted as being able to function as a standalone monitor, but that’s only if you connect it you devices that are equipped with its own Mini Display Port. Well that just sucks now doesn’t it? That’s not to say you won’t be able to in the future, Apple will most likely come out with an adapter to make it work, but nothing official was announced as of yet. Belkin has said they have one on the way as well, so there may be hope afterall.
