The white handsets of Apple’s new iPhone 3GS as claimed by many users is getting so hot that it glows pink. The reports started coming in from France, that after prolong use of Wi-Fi and 3G used in combination with games causes overheating of phone. (Better get a thick 3GS Case)
Aaron Vronko of Rapid Repair, which performed the tear-down of latest iPhone 3GS claims that overheating issue could be related to faulty battery cells and since these batteries are produced in large scale, it is likely that there are mass quantities of faulty iPhones out there. Apple is getting flak now for intentionally hard wiring the batteries so that it could only be replaced at an Apple store so now if users start returning phones then Apple will have no choice but to replace the whole unit.
I have always lived by one rule when it come to newer tech when it is released. Never go out and buy the first wave of the newly released versions of anything, wait a little while and let them iron out all the inevitable bugs and then buy when all claims are fixed.
