iPhone DirecTV app released

The popular service that lets you schedule shows remoting from DirecTV is now coming to the iPhone. The app is free and is now available in the Apple App Store but you will need to upgrade to software 2.2.1 or higher and have a DirecTV subscription service to use the app. Your DirecTV receivers must also have the proper requirements for DirecTV Plus DVR (models R15, R16, R22) and DirecTV Plus HD DVR (models HR20, HR21, HR23). Also, TiVo Series 2 receivers with 6.4a software registered to DirecTV.com can use the new DirecTV iPhone app over WiFi, 3G or EDGE right from the comfort of your iPhone. I can see a lot of work hours lost to employees setting up their DirecTV settings from their iPhone.
