There have been several reports stating that two European retailers have confirmed that Apple has eliminated shipments of the Mac Mini and Apple has told them that they will no longer ship the Mac Mini out to those two retailers. People are now speculating that either Apple is planning the give an overdue update to the mini computer or Apple is completely removing the product from their product list. The Mac Mini was first introduced January of 2005. Steve Jobs tried to sell the computer as “Apple’s most affordable Mac ever.” The Mac Mini was viewed as an alternative to the iMac and Mac Pro and a cheap way for PC users to convert to Mac. However, the Mac Mini never picked up with the public, although it had a great review from critics. Currently, the Mac Mini is the most outdated product on Apple’s product line. Although Apple is pulling the Mac Mini from retail stores, consumers can still purchase one from the Apple Online Store. Stay tuned as more information comes our way.
