So first the iSteam App has been able to nab its developers a whopping 100,000 in the short period of a month, but the Cinderella stories keep coming. The developer of iShoot, a game developed for the iPhone and iPod Touch has been the latest in a series of developers who have struck it rich using the iPhone platform. iShoot is an artillery game in the classic “cannons” spirit. Ethan Nicholas had developed the game in his spare time and released on the iPhone a while back. Around the Christmas break, Nicholas had more time to work on the app and decided to release a lite (demo) version of the game for free. To his surprise, it took off and iShoot took the number one spot in the app store a mere week and a half later. Ethan has since put in his two weeks notice at Sun and C-walked all over his boss’ table. He expects to be pursuing iphone development full time from now on.
