The Leopard 10.5.6 update for Macs comes with a price. The software will actually prevent the quickpwn program from completing successfully which means users won’t be able to unlock or jailbreak their iPhones. Those of you with Macs and iPhones should be aware of this before updating the operating system on your computers. Leopard 10.5.6 will not detect the iPhone in DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode. The iPhone-Dev Team has just finished the unlock of the iPhone 3G so they may be free soon to start working on this problem. For now, potential iPhone unlockers should not update to Leopard 10.5.6. We’ll keep you posted.
