Need to find a hotel? The iPhone has an app for that

If you’re like most people, when you go on vacation you book your hotel ahead of time so you don’t drive around aimlessly looking for a hotel with vacancies. But sometimes on long road trips, or spur of the moment trips to Las Vegas you find your self in a unknown town with no where to stay. Well the new HotelPal iPhone app can help save your day, it uses your current location and then shows you local hotels in your area. The app even gives you rates of the room, in case you win it big at the tables, or loss it big. You can even book your room right there from your iPhone.

The app also shows you images of the dumpy hotel room you are about to book, as well as a list of amenities. The app is free and available now, and includes major hotels in the listings like La Quinta and Sheraton.
