New and improved iPhone Gmail interface

Google released a redesigned mobile Gmail interface for the iPhone and Android, the new system seems to be a lot etter than the original one and is a great step forward. It’s faster and features a much improved user interface. Moving between pages is a lot faster if the page doesn’t need to download new data because of the new database storage system on the iPhone and the Android’s included Google Gears implementation. This is supposed to make it work better with slow connections which is what we experienced. Choosing contacts seemed to be faster but searching and loading new emails seem to be just as slow as before. Other buttons and functions seem to be much improved and overall we’re very impressed with Gmail for the iPhone.
