The closer we get to the January 27th Apple event the more rumors and wild speculations flood the net. One of such rumors is that Apple will also be announcing a Verizon iPhone.
It has not yet been made publicly official just yet but last we heard is that Apple and Verizon was at a stalemate on negotiations for a Verizon iPhone. Again only time will tell as all parties involved are remaining tight lipped about revealing any details.
