You might have remembered the story about Apple being sued by a customer for alleged false advertising pertaining to the iPhone 3G. The UK has now banned an Apple iPhone advertisement for misleading information. The ad displayed a user speeding through various tasks on the iPhone which we all know in real life do not operate that quickly. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) pulled the ads after several complaints. Apple has responded by saying they have a disclaimer clearly stating that performance will vary based on area. I find that hard to believe still, seeing as my iPhone has never operated as fast as the commercials say and I live in LA!
