After cases and chargers, the accessory I see used the most for the iPhone are armbands. I see them everywhere, at the gym, the park, the beach. It is a must if you plan of working out or being outdoors a lot with your iPhone or iPod. While I have seen some useless iPhone accessories in my day, like iPhone holders for your desk etc. I have not seen one that was more useless than this. Called the ThiPhone, yeah real catchy, it is a device that allows you to strap your iPhone to your thigh. Why would I want to do that you ask? Well according to the inventor, it allows you to watch your iPhone while on your commute on the bus or subways, on airplane etc. It also makes it easy for disabled people to access their phones or kids in child seats.
Well isn’t that what a pocket is for? When I want to look at my iPhone I just take it out of my pocket, when I am done I put it back in my pocket. I get the idea that if the iPhone is strapped to your leg it is more stable. But what about when I get up as I reach my bus stop, will I walk around with an iPhone strap on my thigh? While bringing a new product to market is a lot of work, it looks as if they should have done a little more market research first.
