Xroads G Map for the iPhone

So finally we have a turn by turn GPS app for the iPhone. The XROADS G Map is the first app to have a functional GPS that is applicable while driving. It has rendered intersections and POIs as well as turn by turn directions. The down side? This app is over 900 MB and split into two parts (east and west). Each section costs 20 dollars but the app does come with a car mount. The location services of the iPhone is the only limiting factor here as sometimes the cell tower triangulation just isn’t as precise as some of the true GPS units out there. For 20 dollars a section though, it is quite a bargain. According to Gizmodo however, those who live in IL will have to buy both as the app seems to split that state down the middle between the two sections.
