Apple releasing two new iPads in January
What could be better than one new iPad? Two of course! According to Redmond Pie and MacRumors, Apple is getting ready to reveal two new iPads in the coming month, most likely at the MacWorld/iWorld event set to take place on January 26th.
Sources state that the new iPads being announced will come in two different ‘levels’ so to speak. One, a mid level model and another an even higher level one. Both models are said to have 2048×1536 resolution, 9.7 inch displays, quad-core A6 chips, 5 (for lower model) and 8 (for higher model) megapixel cameras. Also, the higher level model will supposedly have double the battery capacity at 14,000mAh.
Even better, according to another reliable source DigiTimes, the iPad 2′s price will be much lower so as to be able to compete with the Amazon 7” Kindle Fire at $199.
Here’s what MacRumors had to say about the news;
“Aside from a surprise Apple return to Macworld|iWorld, Digitimes also reports that the new iPads will keep 9.7″ screens, carry 1536×2048 Retina Displays, A6 processors, 5-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras, and over double the battery capacity (6500mAH -> 14,000mAH) for the higher end model.”
