iphone always on display

Apple recently filed a patent for a new display technology, this new technology is said to feature an “always-on” display that won’t drain the battery at all. It is said that the display won’t be lit up at all times, just a small part that will show the always-on display. Apple says this feature will give iPhone user feedback at all times without having to go to the main display. The always-on icon will be low-power to avoid draining the battery. The patent doesn’t really explain how all of this works. Stay tuned for future info on this new feature.

wal-mart iphone

The Apple iPhone 3G was at first sold only at Apple and AT&T stores, then Best Buy retailers joined in on the fun and carried the iPhone 3G as well. Now reports are saying the largest retailer in the world Wal-Mart along with Sam’s Club will begin to sell the iPhone 3G after Christmas. As usual buying an iPhone will require a two year contract with AT&T and should go for about the same amount as in the AT&T and Apple stores. This move should bring even more profits for Apple and more new customers to AT&T. Who knew Wal-Mart would be next in line to sell the iPhone, it makes good business sense as millions of Americans shop at Wal-Mart this will bring even more consumers to the Apple side.

cellphone world rankings

The Apple iPhone 3G has recently passed the Motorola RAZR as the most popular cellphone in the world. The study from AdMob compares ad requests and it showed that the iPhones went from 2.1 percent up to 4.1 percent a month later. The rest of the list had devices from Nokia and RIM. In the US market share of cellphones was still dominated by RAZR at 7.1 percent but the iPhone 3G is definitely catching up as the iPhone jumped from seventh all the way to second place at 6.9 percent. Looks like things are getting better all the time for Apple.

husband blames iphone for explicit pics

Have you ever got caught doing something you shouldn’t? I know I have, I know I’ve passed the buck on many times as well. A worried wife posted on an Apple Support site that she found explicit images on her husband’s iPhone. The images were sent via Yahoo email to another woman, but the husband admitted to taking the images but claims he never sent them. Then who did? He claims his iPhone did! The husband explained to his wife that we fell victim to an “iPhone glitch.” The iPhone has had problems but taking raunchy pictures and automatically emailing them to another woman is not one of them.

incase power slider

Incase has some of the most popular iPhone cases ever, now they have released their Power Slider case for the iPhone 3G that integrates a battery pack, and does so really well! It adds some birth like all the other iPhone battery packs do, but out of all the other battery packs this one from Incase is probably the thinnest and best thought out. It fully covers and protects the iPhone and more than doubles the battery life. The Incase Power Slider also features a mini-USB pass-through so you don’t have to take the iPhone out of the Power Slider to charge or sync it. The Incase Power Slider goes for $100.

evolve holster

not a cop or a secret agent, just an iPhone owning simpleton. Don’t worry, you can rock the same cool shoulder holster but instead of a .44 magnum you can carry your iPhone! Not only does it carry your iPhone but it has room for keys, MP3 player and the cookies your mom packed you for lunch. So when you’re out fighting crime or saving the world instead of pulling out your piece you can pull out your iPhone and call the cops, or not.

the beatles apple ipod ad

The folks at the iPhoneSavior stumbled upon this Apple iPod ad with a familiar sight on it, the Beatles crossing Abbey Road from their popular album of the same name. Could this be a sign that the The Beatles music will finally make it onto the iTunes store? Is this a print ad in the works that will be released as soon as the Beatles give the OK? Or could this just be fan art or a hopeful Beatles and iPod fan? Either way it is a cool piece of artwork, and I already have every Beatles album on CD.

iphone feet connector dock

We’ve seen all sorts of useful and not so useful iPhone accessories here at iPhoneSpies. The “Mr. Phone Feet” really takes the cake. The iPhone stand which resembles the feet base of a Mr. Potato Head was created by Darren Sills of the Bay Area, no surprise, who dubbed his creation the “iPhone footwear for the masses.” The contraption basically is a vertical iPhone stand that adds a little bit of style to your iPhone dock. You can insert your iPhone dock connector so you can charge and sync your iPhone while looking like a dork.
