We at iPhoneSpies love iPhone apps, our iPhones are full of the latest and greatest apps. One app in particular we noticed has no real use or value, but it’s darn cool! The app iSteam which simulates steam on glass is pretty realistic and entertaining. Blow on the microphone and the iPhone screen is covered in steam you then can wipe off the steam with your fingers, it has the squeaky steamed up window sounds and condensation too. Water then drops and streaks as you wipe the steam off your screen. That’s all it does, but it kept us entertainted for quite some time. And at $.99 we didn’t feel ripped off at all. Check it out on the App Store.

horriblemacmini

A lot of rumors about what Apple will release next have been talked about online as of late. Some say an Apple netbook is in the works, and many others claim the iPhone Nano is on the way. Analyst say they expect Apple will release a cheaper MacBook as well as a cheaper iPhone 3G in 2009. Analyst point out all the Apple accessory makers leaks as of late. Shares of Apple were up after all the talk of these new products showing a lot of confidence in the news. Analyst don’t think Apple will release a netbook however, just a cheaper version of the MacBook. They also think a new Mac Mini may be on the way to give Apple a cheaper Mac for the masses.  These analyst also think that these products won’t be ready to be revealed at MacWorld but we should see them later this year. We’ll just have to wait and see what Apple has up its sleeve.

obamas ipod

When the story about Obama using a Zune at the gym broke all the liberal Mac owners had their hearts broken, well official proof reveals that Obama is indeed an iPod user. This photo clearly shows that President-Elect Obama is an iPod user. The photo above shows Obama using a previous generation iPod nano. So the Zune rumors about Obama can finally be put to rest and all the Mac owners can rejoice. I think all the uproar over Obama using a Zune was hilarious, does it matter what he uses to listen to music? The iPod is a cool MP3 player and all, but the Zune ain’t so bad either. Yes I said it.

Like it or not but it seems that every day we get a little more info about the rumored iPhone nano. Is it a fake? Will it ever come out? We’ll just have to wait and see. But in the mean time we can all sit back and make fun of the pint sized iPhone 3G with no 3G. David Letterman recently “revealed” the new iPhone nano on his show and a few case makers like XSKN and popular iPhone 3G Car Charger maker Inspiretech have added iPhone nano sections to their sites. But are you wondering where in Apples market segment will the iPhone nano fit? This comic strip from Joy of Tech can help explain.

iphone nano rumor

Rumors keep popping up about the new iPhone Nano that Apple is suppesedly working on. From iPhone case manufacturers leaking images in China to iPhone Nano clones already popping up in Asia, when will these rumors turn into fact you ask? Well if they ever do come to light expect it to be announced at MacWord next month. Does Apple really need to sell an iPhone nano at $99 when AT&T sells a refurbished iPhone 3G for $99 online?

According to iPhone Alley:

“We just received word from a reliable source within Apple that they are in fact working on an iPhone Nano, and that it will be announced at Macworld. The source says that the iPhone Nano will most likely be similar in form-factor to the iPod touch, and will probably not include 3G.”

clear iphone case

The Apple iPhone 3G exterior is sleek and sexy on the outside, but ugly and grotesque on the inside. Russian iPhone accessories maker icustom made a clear backing for the iPhone 3G . Reminiscent of the iMacs with the clear housings this clear iPhone case has both its fan and haters. I think it looks pretty disgusting actually. The concept is cool, but looking at the inside bits of my iPhone 3G just doesn’t seem all that cool to me. There is no word on pricing or how one would take the backing off their iPhone 3G and replace it with this clear one. Why mess up the good looks of the iPhone 3G with this contraption? I don’t see these taking off in the future.
