During Apple’s 2008 Q3 earning’s statement via teleconference, they also announced that the iPhone 3G would begin shipping to 20 additional countries on August 22nd.

This raises some concerns for international shortages, due to the fact that the iPhone 3G is currently sold out in many places. However, CFO Tim Cook believes that production will be ready to meet the increased demand. I suppose we will just have to wait and see how this pans out.
