For the few of you that still wish the iPhone had physical letter keys like Blackberries, well first you were given the super ugly iTwinge keyboard holster, and now 4iThumbs, wants to offer you a clear plastic overlay with nubs located over the on screen keyboard.
Slightly less ugly than the iTwinge – but none the less I see this as completely useless, but then again I’m not complaining about the touch keyboard.
The stick-on (non-adhesive) screen only cost $15 (portrait), $17 (landscape), or $20 for both. The inconvenience here is that you’ll need to take the cover off when your ready to go back to normal use – and replace it when you have to type. The overlay doesn’t actually adhere to iPhone screen—it slips and clicks into 2 black strips that remain on the top and bottom portions of the face. However if you can ignore the brail like nobs on your screen then you technically can just leave the cover on and use your touch screen through the plastic.
Again I see this as a complete waste of money – but for those of you that are really just no good at using the touch keys (which I haven’t met one of you yet), or if you are using your iPhone for some reason to type out novel length texts, then maybe you see some sort of value in this cover.
