Apple to launch iPhone 4S in China and 21 other countries?

Is it true, is the iPhone 4S finally REALLY really going global? According to Redmond Pie it is. Initially, the 4S was only launched in the US, United Kingdom,Canada,  Australia, France, Japan, and Germany. And the months that followed, it was released in Austria, Saudi, Arabia, Turkey, India, and Moldova, as well as 55 other countries.

But, in the horizon of 2012, Apple just released a press statement saying that the iPhone 4S will officially (not smuggled over through customs), be launched in China and 21 other countries on Jan. 13th.

Here’s a snippet of what Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook had to say:

“Customer response to our products in China has been off the charts,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “With the launch in China next week, iPhone 4S will be available in over 90 countries making this our fastest iPhone rollout ever.”
