The iPhone OS is overdue for an update. We loved 3.1 for all the new functionality that it provides but there are some glaring bugs in the software. For one thing, there has been a slew of battery related issues ever since the release. With 3.1 going into Beta, we thought you might be interested in a list of some of the improvements coming with this update.
*iPhone 3.1 will have support for augmented reality apps through the camera
*You can now convert to AAC files offline
*Fail over streaming to go to the next one on the playlist if streaming is stopped
*More support for bluetooth audio recording via third party apps
These are just some of the functions. associated with the 3.1 update for the iPhone. We also hear that it runs slightly faster than the iPhone 3.0 OS. If there are any beta testers or developers reading this, please feel free to share with us some of your experiences with the iPhone 3.1 firmware!
