Steve Jobs named ‘CEO of the decade’

Steve Jobs is a rock star CEO and head of one of the “coolest” companies around, well his efforts didn’t go unnoticed by Fortune Magazine. They named the Apple CEO and Co-founder their CEO of the decade. “Superlatives have attached themselves to Jobs since he was a young man. Now that he’s 54, merely listing his achievements is sufficient explanation of why he’s Fortune’s CEO of the Decade (though the superlatives continue),” says the magazine.

“In the past 10 years alone he has radically and lucratively reordered three markets—music, movies, and mobile telephones—and his impact on his original industry, computing, has only grown. Remaking any one business is a career-defining achievement; four is unheard-of.” Fortune also featured a timeline of many of Apple’s popular products that we all know and love today. While there are many other great CEOs out there who have probably made their companies more money, nobody knows about them. Steve Jobs really is the face of Apple, and the inspiration behind many of their most successful products. Here’s to another decade of great products from Mr. Jobs and Apple.
