Virgin Mobile to have iPhone in Canada

Canada, the apartment above a great party, will soon be getting its 4th major mobile provider of the iPhone. Virgin mobile will soon be selling the iPhone making Canada one of the most competitive nations for iPhone sales. The United States still has exclusivity of the iPhone in the hands of AT&T but it looks like the rest of the world has moved away from that.

It is rumored that AT&T and Apple’s contract will expire some time in mid to late 2010 which means could mean bad things for AT&T but Apple’s side of the fence should actually see an increase in sales. If worldwide statistics are taken into play, then the subsidy of roughly $400 that AT&T pays Apple per phone will most likely stay the same while Apple will have plenty of new outlets to tout their phone. In fact, there are already rumors that Verizon is working on a deal with Apple!
