Nerds rejoice! Perhaps the most powerful computational engine ever written is now accessible through the iPhone. Wolfram Alpha has personally helped me immeasurably through Calculus but that’s not all it does. Aside from derivations and integrations, it also does genetic sequencing and apparently from these pictures, damn near anything you could possibly ask it!
Of course this is not all sunshine and lollipops as the app carries a heavy price. At $50, the Wolfram Alpha app is definitely one of the most expensive. It also requires an internet connection begging the question, “Is a gateway to a website really worth that much?”. We’re guessing the app would be streamlined to be used by professionals who refer to this site on a regular basis.
