Looking back it may be that Apple got it right the first time with the iPhone 1.0 software in terms of overall stability. The iPhone 2.0 update is a great one over 1.0 by far, but there is still dirt on the underside of such a bright and shiny update.
The most glaring flaw of the new update has to be the incessant app crashes and lag when text messaging. Apple has quickly released firmware versions 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 that were made to address certain bugs within the software I have yet to see any major fixes of bugs on my iPhone. Applications would crash in 1.0, but not as much as they do with 2.0. I routinely have the text messaging application crash out on me. Even when I dont have the text message application crash, almost on a daily basis I will experience the dreaded text lag that takes days to input a simple sentence. It sure looks like Apple rushed out 2.0 to meet the deadline they set for themselves. 2.0 still feels like a beta version of what should be the next great step in the progression of the iPhone. What are your griefs with 2.0 on your personal iPhone? Is anyone fed up with the instability of 2.0?
