Motorola is said to be suing one of their former execs, Michael Fenger, who is now vice president of global iPhone sales for Apple. Motorla is claiming Fenger gave Apple corporate secrets to help with the huge success of the new iPhone 3G. They claim Fenger gave them information regarding Motorola’s strategies, marketing plans, margins and other information. Fenger was in vice president of Motorola’s mobile division in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Apple has not been including in the suit however.
While breach of contracts and stealing trade secrets is wrong, Motorola should point the fingers at themselves over their debacle in the cell phone market. If they made a better phone they wouldn’t need to pass the blame around.
